That's me. Site Meter

So you want to know more about me, huh? I think I'll start at the beginning because that is generally a good place to start. I was born in 1979 in Lehighton, PA and lived there until I was 23. I attended Penn State Altoona where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance.

After spending too much time in the bars and not enough time looking for a job, I moved back home after graduation. I worked a part time job that I had since high school until I started working at Monetize.com in Lehighton. In June of 2002 I moved to Hazleton, PA where I lived for almost two years. Since then I have lived in various locations throughout Northeastern and Southeastern Pennsylvania, including Allentown, Hatfield and now Sellersville.

I know quite a few languages on various levels; Java, C#, PHP, etc. along with MySQL, Linux and quite a few other things I won't mention. Anything that I don't know, I am always trying to learn in one way or another. I'm also A+ Certified, but haven't done much with that yet. I wanted to get certified for quite some time, and I finally did on my birthday in 2003.

I have quite a few computers and computer related products. If I didn't, I would get my geek status taken away from me, and that would not be cool at all. I like trying ridiculous things, just to see if I can get them to work. Sometimes I spend more time with my computers than with my family. This seems to be a common theme with my kind.

I've had bighar.com since September of 2000, and harrywynn.com since July 2003. I've done quite a few things with the site it in that period of time. I started blogging in May of 2000, and have done it on and off ever since. If you don't believe me, you can check out my Blogger profile for living proof. I was reluctant at first to start doing it again, being everyone and their brother has a weblog now. I thought about it for a good ten minutes and decided to give it a go one more time. I don't link to any archives, previous versions or any other crap that some people hold onto. The past is exactly that, and I don't need to relive it. If you really need something that was on this site in 2002, I'm sure you can find it.

I am the brains behind the once popular commenting service BlogSpeak. After my host shut down the site, HaloScan acquired all of my users (6,000), then I released the source code. Check it out if you're running PHP & MySQL and looking to add some quick and easy comments to your site. I also wrote and update a free app called PSP Shuffle, which more or less shuffles random content onto your PSP. I also started Blog Mapping quite some time ago, which never really took off, but still gets random hits every now and again.

I currently work for a company called BrickSimple doing web (an occassionaly desktop) application development. I also have a side business called Concept Cache that I started in January 2008. While mildly profitable, it definitely does not support my habits, including eating and providing shelter for my family. I hope to change that within the next five years.

I have a daughter named Kasey, a wife named Kristin, computers named Lumbergh, Milton, Samir, Joanna, Symkowski and Peter, a TiVo named Drew and another one named Michael, all sitting on a network I like to call Initech. I like to name things. It helps me keep track of them better.

That's pretty much it for what I want to write here. I could go on and on about my life, but I'll spare you the pain. Besides, that's why I'm planning on penning a book. Everyone should try and write a book at least once, right? If I think of anything good that I forgot I'll add it in the future. Thanks for reading.
